Legal Disclaimer for Solid Wood Slab Tables

1. Natural Characteristics & Appearance

Every solid wood slab table we sell is a unique, natural piece of art. By purchasing from our store, you acknowledge and accept the following inherent characteristics of natural wood:

  • Unique Variations: Wood grain, color shade, knots, natural splits, and bark edges vary from piece to piece. The product photos on our website are representative examples, and your actual product will have its own distinct character.

  • Environmental Adjustments: Solid wood is a living material that responds to changes in temperature and humidity. Minor warping, shrinking, or seasonal cracking (checking) may occur as the wood adapts to your home environment. These are not considered manufacturing defects but are proof of the wood's natural authenticity.

2. Maintenance & Care Liability

Proper care is essential to preserve the longevity of your table.

  • We provide care instructions for our products, but we cannot be held liable for damages resulting from improper maintenance, exposure to direct sunlight, extreme heat sources, liquids left standing, or the use of abrasive chemical cleaners.

3. Shipping, Delivery & Heavy Item Liability

Our solid wood slab tables are exceptionally heavy, oversized items.

  • Curbside Delivery: Standard delivery is typically "curbside" only. It is the customer's responsibility to arrange for adequate assistance to move the table inside their property.

  • Inspection upon Receipt: You must inspect the packaging and the product thoroughly upon delivery. If there is any visible transit damage, you must note it on the delivery receipt (POD) before signing, or refuse the shipment and contact us immediately. Failing to note damages upon receipt may invalidate future transit-related claims.

4. Right of Withdrawal & Custom Orders (EU Consumer Law)

According to EU consumer protection regulations:

  • Standard Items: For pre-made, standard tables, EU customers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day of delivery. However, due to the heavy and oversized nature of these products, return shipping costs are entirely the responsibility of the customer unless the product arrived damaged or defective.

  • Custom / Made-to-Order Items: If your table was customized, cut to specific dimensions, or custom-finished to your specifications, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, and the order cannot be canceled or returned once production has begun.
